Where is Gen Z Spending Time on Social

According to recent studies, Gen Z is estimated to account for approximately $143 billion in direct consumer spending and is projected to surpass the spending power of Millennials by 2028. As marketers, it's important to know where Gen Z is spending their time on the socials. If you're thinking TikTok takes the cake, you'd be incorrect.A study by Morning Consult found that YouTube is the most-used platform for Gen Z — with 88% spending their time on the app.Instagram came in at #2 with 76% and TikTok and Snapchat, respectively at 68% and 67%.What about Facebook and Twitter? 49% + 47%Another interesting tidbit from this survey is that 38% of Gen Z spend about 4 hours per day on social.So, what does this mean for your marketing strategy?If Gen Z falls within your target market, you'll wanna implement a YouTube strategy if you haven't already.
