7 Ways to Lower Your CPC on Facebook AdsWhen it comes to Facebook ads, there are a bunch of ways to lower your CPC, but keep in mind that what works for your neighbor might not work for you.Play around with the following 7 tips from Hootsuite and see what fits your needs.  Nail your campaign objective: 'Depending on the goal of your ad campaign, you’ll need to match up your own campaign objective with the objectives offered on Facebook.' For example, if you're a new biz - you'll likely focus on impressions and reach.  Improve your relevancy score: How the algorithm rates relevancy is still a mystery but you need to pay close attention to it. A low relevancy score will directly impact your CPC. Don't set it and forget it.   Understand audience targeting: It's easy to get lazy with audience targeting and let Facebook do the work. Don't do that. Get as specific as possible with  location, interests, behaviors, and other demographics.  Think carefully where you place your ad: If your audience lives on Instagram, don't run ads on the Facebook news feed. Make sure you utilize FB ad placement features to target the right person in the right place.  Test your ad creative: Always use the A/B test feature to determine the lowest CPC ad. You should test anywhere from 3-5 ads changing ad copy, imagery, and headlines. Take winning elements from your test and scale accordingly.   Increase your CTR: A higher CTR equals a lower CPC. Wild, right? Here are a couple ways to drive a higher CTR...    Use desktop newsfeed ad placements, which generate higher CTRs Use appropriate CTA buttons. “Learn More” will sometimes drive more clicks than “Shop Now” for cold audiences that don’t trust you yet Keep your frequency (or the number of times the same user sees the same ad) as low as possible.  Alright - you got some work to do.
