What's in a Subject Line

Talk about pressure. If you use email marketing a lot, you know the struggle is real when it comes to subject lines. Here are 5 components to think about for your next subject line.

  1. Self-Interest:Benefit. Benefit. Benefit for the reader.

  2. Offer: Have a sweet offer? Share it!   

  3. Urgency/Scarcity: Psychology, it works. Use sparingly though.

  4. Story: Tease a story to garner an open.

  5. News: Industry developments and curiosity go a long way.
