Use Social ProofWikipedia defines social proof as a psychological phenomenon where people assume the actions of others in an attempt to reflect correct behavior for a given situation.When we're looking for validation, we generally look to six types of social proof:  Expert Celebrity User Wisdom of the crowd Wisdom of your friends Certification As you know, social proof has become quite the buzzword in the social media marketing space. It's no wonder that brands are paying influencers thousands to millions of dollars for a single post.So, how do you use social proof in your marketing efforts?  Have an expert take over your social media: Doing so allows for a positive association from the experts' existing following.  Show appreciation for mentions: Let's say you're featured in a reputable publication. Folks eat that stuff up. Highlight the article in a social media post and tag the publication. Share milestones: Maybe you just hit 30k followers on Instagram. Don't hold back in highlighting those types of milestones. Ie: work anniversary, number of items sold, customers served, etc. Brand ambassadors: When you work with ambassadors, you're getting direct access to a brand new audience. This is a great way to increase your following and create brand awareness. Share customer photos: User-generated content for the win. If people are tagging your product or service - share it. Share testimonials: Always share positive reviews on your website and social channels.Check out a few more here.
