5 Tips for Writing a NewsletterNewsletters are all about value. The more you give, the more you get. And yes, it takes time.If you write a newsletter, you need to do a few things well: Know your audience Stick to the same format Always include a CTAOnce you have those dialed in, you can focus on actually writing it.Here are some best practices... Lean into one theme: The last thing you want to do is confuse your audience. To avoid this, pick one theme for each newsletter. Give subscribers a good reason to opt-in: 'Make it about your audience, not just about your or your business.' Give them tips, discounts, a free resource, or a video course. Stay consistent: Stick to the same time and day for your sends. Globally, Fridays see the highest email open rates, but most studies suggest the best day to send an email newsletter is Tuesday morning. Create click-worthy subject lines: Your initial goal is to get an open. Keep your subject line to 50 characters or less and drop some value bombs. Speak to one person: Your emails need to be conversational. Period. If you wanna take it another step further, personalize your newsletter for each reader. Emails that address the recipient by their first name can get as much as 20 percent higher open rates. Dive deeper here.
