3 Ice Breakers for Your Next EventWe're keeping things light today because we just came off a holiday weekend.'Zoom' fatigue (insert Hangouts, Teams, Slack, etc.) is real.  According to a Stanford study, a high cognitive load and lack of mobility in front of a computer screen exacerbate this sense of feeling worn out after participating in virtual events or conversations. When we're worn out, we're not engaged. So, whether you're hosting a virtual event or just need to get your team jazzed up, try the following:  Photo show and tell: 'Have each attendee share a digital photo based on a pre-announced theme. This might be a photo of something they did over the weekend, their last vacation, a fond childhood memory, or a photo of them participating in their hobby.'  Family member meet-and-greet: Have each attendee introduce their kids, grandma, pet or whoever is around. It won't be awkward at all. We promise. 😉  Guess the desk: Have each co-worker submit a picture of their desk before the call. Just make sure they remove any identifiers like pictures, name tags, etc. If it's not a coworker event, have attendees submit a picture of their car, closet, favorite magazine, etc. Dive deeper here.
