6 Tips to Keep Your Emails Short & SweetThe average office worker receives about 121 emails daily. On the flip side, they send around 40 emails per day.Considering that about 40% of emails are viewed on mobile devices, your email should get to the point quickly. Here are 6 tips to keep those emails nice and short:  Write with your goal in mind: Focus on one goal per email. That's it. Avoid any tangents.  Small talk: Keep your small talk to a sentence or two.  Look for repeats: If you take a stream-of-consciousness approach, there's a good chance you're repeating yourself. Always do a quick proofread to look out for repeats and wordy text.  Nix filler words: Cut out filler words all together. They're usually unnecessary and make you sound uncertain. Essentially, basically, very, really, I think, I mean, sort of, no worries, as you know, etc.  Formatting: Keep it simple on the eyes of your reader. Break up big blocks of text into 3-4 sentence paragraphs and use bullet points to highlight important information.  Include a call to action: To get the results you need, always include a clear CTA or action item. Lastly, typos are never a good look. We recommend using a tool like Grammarly to put your mind and grammar at ease.
