Use Scarcity in Your MarketingScarcity works. Why? Because FOMO is real. The more scarce an item is, the more people want it.If you're not using scarcity in your marketing, here are some hot tactics for ya. Purchase countdown: A countdown timer forces someone to decide (quickly) because of the urgency surrounding it. Take a hint from Ebay for this tactic. Next-day shipping countdown: Amazon does a great job at this by showing how much time you have to guarantee next-day shipping. Seasonal offers: This is the 'treat yo self' mentality. Think Pumpkin Spice Latte. "It's Fall, why not?" Low stock notices: Going, going, gone. Consider showing a low inventory on your item or service to spur purchases. Spotlight customer behavior: 'John Smith just purchased this item.' You see this on a lot of sites. It's all tied to the social proof theory where folks rely on other's behaviors to make their own decisions. Dive deeper here.
