We're bouncing early today...
Hi, Jack! can design for Hobbs Brewing Company by Top Hat.
Reduce Your Bounce RateLet's talk about bounce rates. If you aren't familiar, bounce rate is the percentage of users who land on your website and decide to leave without going to a second page. So, what's a good bounce rate you ask? 80%+ is very bad 70 – 80% is poor 50 – 70% is average 30 – 50% is excellentWhen it comes to lowering your bounce rate, check out these tips: Page load time: Users expect your website to load in less than 2 seconds. Before you dive into the content of your site, make sure it's loading in an ample amount of time. Make your content readable: Use headings, subheadings, properly sized images and bullet points to ensure your content is actually readable. Be sparing with pop-ups and sidebars: Both of these have their place on your site - just don't overdo it. 'Give your visitors enough time to immerse themselves in your content before pouncing on them.' Cross-reference bounce rate and time on site: This will give you a high-level view as to what the problem could be. Maybe it's your content or just your site as a whole. Site navigation: 'Simplify your site navigation to the point at which it seems almost counterintuitive, because that’s what your visitors want. They don’t care about you, they don’t care about your company – they only care about themselves and what they want.' See a few more here.
