Save Money at the Gas Pump

If you've been out and about, you may have noticed that fuel prices are way up. 

Check out these tips for saving a buck at the pump. 

• Use apps: Gas Buddy and Gas Guru will help you find the cheapest gas in your area.

• Stop using premium: Even if your car calls for premium, you should be ok with the cheap stuff per the auto resource, Edmunds. 

• Enroll in gas rewards programs: There's a good chance your local station has a loyalty program. If so, sign up for it. Also, check out Nerd Wallet's credit card recs for saving gas at the pump.

• Pump those tires: The Department of Energy says 'proper tire inflation can help improve your gas mileage by up to 3%.'

• Carpool: It's not for everyone, but it'll definitely help you save a buck.  Dive deeper here.
