Write for Your Reader Not for YourselfWhile being a writer and a content marketer go hand-in-hand, they're still two completely different animals. If you're in the weeds with content marketing, you know how hard it can be to write for yourself and not your reader. When it comes to good content, it's crucial to shift the 'writing' side of your brain. The folks at Animalz have 3 simple tips to write for your reader.Check 'em out: Don't be clever: Focus on the primary purpose of your article. If you try to get cute or clever, it'll only distract your reader. Choose the 'right' words: 'Successful content explains, interests, or persuades your target reader, and every word needs to be chosen with those objectives in mind.' Don't make the mistake of thinking that you're the target audience - you're not. Explain your topic simply: There's nothing set in stone for what level you should write at, but you should try to explain your topic as if you're talking to a young person. Shoot for the 6th - 8th grade level.Check out a few more tips here.
