Gen Z vs Millennials When it comes to advertising your business, you need to have an understanding of Gen Z and Millennials. There's been a major shift (over the last couple of years) in marketing to these 2 groups. What works? What doesn't? Are there similarities? Etc.Here are 5 observations:  Generational gap: Gen Z tends to put a lot more stock into the social media presence of a brand. They like to consume snappy ads typically in the form of video or short-form posts. Snapchat and TikTok work extremely well for this demo.   Authenticity: Millennials and Gen Z can spot a phony ad from a mile away. Both these groups have grown up in the information age. Make sure your message speaks to their motivations and needs. Keep it real.  Email marketing still works: According to a recent study by Campaign Monitor, 58% of those surveyed check their email multiple times per day. Don't sleep on email marketing for both groups.  Use your time wisely: A widely-used and often disputed marketing statistic is that millennials have a 12-second attention span, whereas Gen Z has eight seconds. Regardless, everyone is vying for attention.   Experience is everything: 'Younger generations are more selective and want to believe that you want to help them solve a problem or meet a need.' Analyze each step of your customer experience and adjust accordingly. It should be as seamless as possible.  Diversity and Inclusion: Supporting causes they care about and making a genuine difference in the world is of great importance to both groups. Dive deeper here.
