6 Ways to Grow Your Linkedin Following
No matter what you do for a living, you have value to give. Sharing that value on Linkedin can lead to a large following (quickly). Enter Justin Welsh. The guy has over 250k followers on LI and built a 7-figure consulting business as a result of it. He posts something every day on LI. Justin posted some quick tips on building a Linkedin following. We’ll highlight ‘em below.Make sure you check out his Twitter post to dive in deeper.
About section of profile: Don’t be shy here. The about section is all about social proof so brag away.
Featured section of profile: Justin says, “This section is a lot like a pinned Tweet but more powerful. Use it to de-platform to a newsletter, podcast, or YouTube channel.”
The trailer: This is where you hook the reader. “Break the scroll pattern with the first line and make each line intriguing enough to get the reader to the next.”
Recycling content: Go back a few months and see which posts did well. Repurpose them for LinkedIn and share away.
Carousel posts: Carousels on LinkedIn are absolutely crushing right now. If you want to see an uptick in engagement, start posting carousels.
Be consistent: Post at the same time every day and posts often. It’s that simple.
