Do your captions needs some love?
Fanta Print Ad.
Write Better Instagram CaptionsWriting good Instagram captions is an art form. If you do it well, you get more engagement and, in turn, more reach. You know who loves engagement? The elusive algorithm. Before you dive into caption writing, you must have a strong handle on your campaign goals. Is your goal awareness? Promotion? User-generated content? etc.Once you've defined your goal, here's how to write a good caption: Crush your first sentence: Because IG shortens your caption after 3-4 lines, you need to lead with a HOOK. Front-load that caption. Include a CTA or ask a question: Your CTA should tie back to your campaign goals. Asking questions encourages engagement and creates a sense of dialogue, so use 'em. Add value: We see you Gary V. But, seriously, if you can add value, folks are likely to bookmark and share your post. Make it about them, not you. Don't be a robot: Write like you're talking to your best bud. Draft your captions elsewhere: Don't use IG to draft your captions. It's too distracting. Instead, open up Notes or fire up a Google Doc. Use emojis: Emojis are great for directing readers to a specific callout. Just don't overuse them. Use hashtags: The common play is to use hashtags in the first comment, but don't be afraid to sprinkle them in your caption. It's a good way to add dimension.Check out a few more tips here.
