The importance of having every single piece of the puzzle when working on a project is an area in which our entire team agrees. From sales to content to design to development.
The word context itself originates from the 15th-century Latin contexere, meaning to “weave or join together.”
That’s your to do this week. Get your team on the same page of the same script.
If all you’re doing is passing off incomplete notes, sending vague Slack chats or providing call transcripts with no context, you’re doing your entire team a disservice.
Your designers your developers, your content writers, they might not be on every single account strategy call.
Bring them into the conversation.
Even if they aren’t on the calls, their ideas and insights should absolutely be getting back to the client.
Use your AI tools and build the why behind the ask. When decisions are made in isolation (by any team member) you are now all in misalignment.
Create and share documents that house all pertinent client and project info that the whole team can access at any time. If a developer needs to email a client for a 2FA code, he or she isn’t waiting for their AM to set it up, causing an unnecessary delay.
Ask questions and provide clarity instead of simply creating tasks. The client wants a rewrite because… The design needs tweaked for this reason…
Context is the difference between a client (and a team) that feels supported and a client (and a team) wondering why no one is talking to each other.
